Lock Angle +/-50mm Rack Travel – Suspension KPI

This key performance indicator is a simple metric to help the suspension designer to understand the steering performance of a suspension system from a vehicle manoeuvrability point of view.  The metric reports the wheel toe angle at +50mm and -50mm rack travel.  The metric can be used to understand the amount of rack travel required from the steering system to achieve the desired lock angles.  The lock angle metrics can be used to understand the turning circle performance of a vehicle.
